I hope everyone is having a good week. Does anyone know when the 2019 NFL draft is? 🤠 Anyway, here is the update.

 

New OM

I have been told that Lee Kramer will be our new OM effective 10/28. I was told that by Lee Kramer so we will have to wait and see if that happens. I will keep you guys posted on that.

 

New Trainee

We are getting a new trainee fresh from the academy arriving this week. I am going to try to go say hi later this week. His name is Jeremy Papa.  

Metering Issues

We have been seeing some issues where an aircraft will jump from one sector’s list to another or sometimes just drop out entirely. TMU says that the drop on 9/20 should  have fixed that. Please take notes and send me the details when it inevitably happens again. 

 

Lost Link UAV

We have had a few issues come up where we didn’t have lost link procedures for a UAV that we were either working or had a point out on. There was some confusion as to who should have that info and where it should be.  

Greg Bean ran this whole thing down and discovered that the Mission Desk has been receiving the e-mails from the military for these ops.  For whatever reason, the STMCs have not been consistently checking that inbox and/or understanding the significance of the information. The STMCs have been reminded of the importance of checking for them routinely and forwarding the info to the floor.

If you find yourself working one of these operations, make sure you ask the CiC/FLM for the briefing sheets. As CiC, if you don’t have the info, mission desk should. Please let me know if you run into any issues with this.
