Seems like there is some conflicting information out there regarding our pay increase but the gist of everything is at ZSE you will see a 2.98% increase to your base pay.
Broken down it's a 1% raise to our basic pay (basic pay does not include locality).  And, a locality increase of 1.98% totaling up to a 2.98% increase to base pay mentioned above (base pay includes locality adjustments).

The 2017 Seattle locality rate will be 24.24% and for further locality adjustment information feel free to check out this fed smith article.

The 2.1% raise you may have heard seen in the news is the average increase across the federal government.  Broken down that's the 1% increase to base pay and a 1.1% average increase to locality across the government.  Since Seattle is more expensive than the national average we ended up with a larger increase.  For further reading on the 2.1% average increase across the government feel free to read this fed smith article.

At the end of the day at ZSE you will see a 2.98% pay increase.  For any further pay increase questions please feel free to call, text, or email me.
