I am in disgusting rainy Philadelphia preparing for Convention. I don't have a lot to share this week but here are the two things I do have.
Upcoming OJTI Class
There is an OJTI class upcoming in June. If you have an interest in becoming an OJTI, let you supervisor know.
CICs Approving Excused Absence
Jason Alliston is officially our OM and one of his big issues is CICs approving excused absence. The HRPM says that FLMs have approve excused absence and "Blood leave" is an excused absence. However, the contract does not specify who can approve excused absence and the contract supersedes the HRPM. I spoke with Troy about this and he is going to work on this issue with Don Hill to see how we should handle this as a facility. In the interim, I would recommend having a supervisor or OM approve the blood leave. I'll let you know what I find out.
