Good Afternoon! We are all back from CFS, the event was great and very informative. I will say it was an honor to be able to celebrate two of our Seattle Tower controllers, Natalie Glore and Nichole Larsen, NNM’s Archie League Award winners. If you can watch a replay of the Archie Award submission videos, I would recommend it. It is inspiring.

MOU Negotiation / Bidding

This will be very vague, and I apologize for the lack of updates. Since we are still in the middle of negotiations, it would be bargaining in bad faith to disclose details at this time. We understand that this is the time of year that people look forward to, it helps you plan and have a better picture of the upcoming year. We do not take this lightly and would never delay or extend this process without weighing the consequences. It is vital to our future to keep our eyes on the big picture, even if that means we have to bid a little later in the year than usual. Hopefully, we will be able to get this done very soon and get the bid going.

All Members Meeting

Our next All Members Meeting will be on Wednesday, September 27th, at 1 p.m. in the East / West Conference room. Currently, we only have some constitutional changes on the agenda, but we are open to any items you would like to see added. And yes, there will be tacos.

Nationwide FEMA Alert

It shouldn’t impact us too much because I know everyone always keeps their phone outside the control room. Still, for informational purposes, FEMA will be doing a nationwide test of their emergency alert system on October 4th at 11:20 a.m. Unlike Amber/Silver alerts, this cannot be opted out of. Please ensure your cell phone is turned off/left out in your mailbox.

Thank You,

Amy Sizemore
